I started painting in 2018 following the loss of my brother. Encouraged by my girlfriend, I purchased a few art supplies and set about recreating simple landscape paintings. As soon as I felt confident in the quality of my work, I decided to focus my efforts almost solely on faces and figures in hopes that I might be able to honor my brother by painting his portrait.
Shortly after I began painting, I was fortunate to be invited to participate in the Art Students League of Denver’s 2019 Summer Art Market, where I met many talented and highly recognized local artists and sold a few of my paintings to some wonderful collectors.
In 2020, I attended my second art market in Fountain Hills, Arizona and had two paintings accepted into a gallery in Denver.
Although the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic prevented further participation in art shows, I have continued to work primarily on portraits and figures, and have been continuously inspired by the artists, collectors, and curators I’ve met throughout Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
I am currently focusing on portrait commissions and preparing for upcoming 2023 art shows.
